NEW CLASS!!! DRAMA & MUSIC - Intermediate level for 13 yrs +

Jeanette created the Musical Theatre Company in 2005 in order to teach children and teenagers dance, drama and song. In the first year only 10 children attended but the groups grew and grew and now there are usually 50 divided into 3 age groups ranging from 7 to 17 years. There have been numerous shows and concerts put on by the pupils through the years including : Annie, Oliver !, Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, The Snow Queen, Sasquatch, The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, The Pied Piper of Hamlin, Starshine, Celebrations including excerpts from Jungle Book, Cats, Mary Poppins, Singin’ in the Rain, Shrek and the most recent show 1001 Arabian Nights.

Our policy is that every pupil is special and deserves their own part and moment in the limelight ; therefore all our pupils have lines to learn, songs to sing and dance steps to conquer when we put on a show or for an exam. Musical theatre is composed of the triple threat – singing, dancing and acting and we try to make sure that our pupils enjoy themselves whilst learning all about theatre and improving in all three genres.

Just going out on a stage takes courage but to know that you are going to sing, dance and act is even more nerve wracking. As we teach our pupils about the theatre, they also learn confidence, discipline, social skills and team work which all play a large part in all walks of life so can serve them well for future years.

We are extremely proud of some of our pupils who have gone on to study musical theatre in colleges in London and we hope to see them someday on a West End stage ! Also we have pupils who audition and perform in the theatrical societies in Brussels and again we are pleased that we have taught and trained them and that they will do us proud.
